BMG -- Do you watch any other QB\'s play besides Peyton Manning. Brooks is no more inconsistant than 90% of the QB\'s that will be in the playoffs this year.

How \'bout these guys?

1. Brett Favre
2. Jake Delhomme
3. Quincy Carter
4. Mark Bulger
5. John Kitna

How did these teams get in the playoffs with those QB\'s? Please explain that to me.

Brett Favre is the picture of inconsistancy. Two weeks ago when Green Bay really needed to beat the lowly Lions, Favre threw 4 ints. Now they are on the outside hoping they get in the playoffs.

I really have to wonder if some folks ACTUALLY watch other QB\'s play.

BillyC,
I think they watch for mistakes instead of the whole game. To say that Brooks get\'s most of his stats in the 4th quarter with the game is in hand is ridiculous. When Brooks has a big 4th quarter, it\'s usually a comeback win. They run the ball in the fourth with a lead. Brooks has supporters and Brooks has haters. Too bad the \"haters\" can\'t even appreciate it when he is playing well. Can\'t help but looks for the bad apple in the bunch!

SFinAustin --

Not only do they look for every mistake. They come here and post all of them. There\'s been days when all they do is bash Brooks. Never will you hear \'em say anything good about him, unless you pry it out of them. Even when they do give him some credit, it\'s usually accompanied by saying -- \" he wouldn\'t have done it without Deuce and the receivers.\"

Never do I hear anyone coming running to this board complaining about the Brooks bashing. But, let me say some positve things about him or hold someoneelse like Deuce to the same standards and we got folks like complaining about having to read about Brooks. I just laugh it off though....

If they want to make unfair comparisions or outragous statements, I\'ll set \'em straiht --

Look, we got Brooks for a 4th round draft pick. If we could package him and one of our seconds to the Cardinals for a shot a Manning we would be stupid not to. Yes I saw Eli against LSU. You are not seriously comparing the Saints supporting cast to that of Ole Miss are you? I\'ll tell you what I saw out of Manning all year... A leader who is super accurate with the football and gives his team a chance to win in the fourth quarter. He led Ole Miss to a late 4th quarter touchdown against arguably the best Dfense in the country and if not for two botched field goals by the best kicker in the country Ole Miss would have won that game. I guess you didnt see him lead an Ole Miss teamt to victory at Florida or his 4th quarter heroics at Auburn. Brooks is a head case, he laughs after fumbles and interceptions, and he does not have that intangible that Superbowl caliber quarterbacks have. I dont know if Eli has that or if he is just a great college QB, but I\'d rather take a gamble on a franchise QB like Manning than go through one more game with Brooks at the helm.

So, you don\'t think that Brooks has what it takes to get to a Super Bowl huh? And ANY of the Mannings do? What would lead you to believe that? None of the Mannings have won a big game in their lives!! Peyton is more reponsible for the Colts losing in the playoffs than any other person on that team. Just check out his interceptions in the playoffs.

If we want a QB that we know can win a Super Bowl, then we need to sign Trent Dilfer. At least we know Dilfer can lead a team to the Super Bowl.

As far as colleger Qb\'s go -- Danny Wuerffel was a more successful and more of a proven leader in college than Eli Manning. After all, Wuerffel won the Heisman Trophy!!

Look BillC, . Archie Manning was one of the best QB\'s in NFL history. Peyton Manning will be the league MVP this year. Eli Manning will be a top 3 pick in this years draft. If you really think Trent Dilfer or Danny Wuerrfel are better QB\'s than Peyton or Eli Manning you need to go check . I\'m trying to tell you by trading Brooks and one of our number 2 we could essentially get the best player in this draft for a number 2 pick and the number 4 pick we gave the Packers for Brooks. We duped the Cardinals last year to get Sullivan, and if we can do it again this year we need to.

I love when people think that \"Brooks Sucks\" yet they feel he has the value to be traded \"with a 2nd\" for the number 1 pick in the draft. It doesn\'t even make sense. If he was that bad, why would a franchise give up a top 5 pick for him? I don\'t think people use any common sense when putting these scenarios together.

Look BillC, stop being ignorant.
I\'m not being ignorant. I just have to get down on that level with some folks sometimes. I figure since they didn\'t use good ol\' common sense to make their arguement, then surely they won\'t uderstand me if I use common sense. Therefore, I have to post something just as ridiculous as them to get them to understand. If nothing else I hope it leaves them scratching their head just like I do when I read their post.

I thought the sign on the door of this place read, \"Check your common sense at the door.\"
