Oliver, 5-10, 210, was a fourth-round draft choice in the 2007 supplemental draft by the San Diego Chargers. The four-year veteran has appeared in 44 games with 11 starts for San Diego, recording 106 tackles (65 solo), three interceptions, six pass defenses, one forced fumble, three fumble recoveries and 20 special teams stops.
The former University of Georgia standout appeared in all 16 games with eight starts at strong safety for the Chargers in 2010 and finished with a career-high 60 tackles, one interception, one forced fumble, a career-best and team-high two fumble recoveries, three pass defenses and four special teams stops. I think this could be a sign Sharper is out the door.
One thing about the signings this offseason... I love the fact we're addressing our special teams coverage unit. This is also a solid depth signing at safety. It's always nice to have a backup safety with starting experience. |

Wow, I like this signing...
Our ST's are going to be better if it kills someone. Our D will be pretty amazing. Able to stop the run will free up the secondary from to much run support so INT's will go up as well as sacks. Lets not lose the fact out sick our offense is going to be with a running game gets going. Play action will kill D's. |
