Saints keeping bad company.
Agreed.
Is there any scenario (other than the Buffalo rumor, which I think is complete BS) in which Benson and the Saints rid themselves of Haslet? Someone give me some hope, because as of right now, I think it\'s a lock that he\'ll be on the Saints\' sideline next year. |

Interesting Billy - I\'ve been saying this for a while. Glad you finally came around.
The coach that I\'ve most compared Haslett to (at least privately) is Wannstadt. Same kind of situation. One playoff appearance in 4 years, plenty of talent to compete, but it seems like they underachieve. Of course, over that time period the Dolphins have been 11-5, 10-6 twice I think and 9-7 once. Not getting in with those kind of records to me is forgivable to some degree. Being .500 over the last three seasons with the talent that the Saints have and the free reign Haslett has gotten to work with in NO is completely unacceptible. |
