New Orleans Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams gave the highest compliment he could give to second-year cornerback Patrick Robinson and second-year defensive end Junior Galette on Wednesday.
He said six days into training camp, he hasn't had to chew out either guy once yet this year. When asked about Robinson's growth since last year, Williams said, "Night and day transition. We've gone through now, what, five practices? And you haven't heard me jump his ass. How about Patrick Robinson and Junior Galette? I about busted a blodd vessel on the side of my head last year being all over Junior." Full article below. Let's wait for the I told you so's until he actually does something in a real game. Still, very good news... we desperately need pass rushing help from our ends.

I'm glad Robinson looks good. Porter and Greer's contracts are up next year.

Robinson needs to step up. If the Saints get anything from Junior it will be a bonus. He does what the Saints need. Pressure on the opposing QB's.

But yeah I agree, if we can keep those 3 we will be in a good spot, I like the reports that robinson looks good though, cornerbacks always progress the most from years 1 to 2 and robinson is going to be a good player! |

Now do people realize why we're excited about Galette?
No one is claiming he's an all-pro, or even an NFL starter, but there is valid reason to be excited about the young man. I'm hoping he continues to develop. |
