1. You dont have to have a parking pass to join us. Just show up and say hi. bring beer or water or soda if you will.
2. BLUE LOT PASS HOLDERS-- for now we plan to meet in the Sams Club parking lot on Fannin. Double check this time/place next FRIDAY, in case of change.
3. Those of you bringing heavy stuff, chat with me. Chances are, I can put it in the back of my truck, so you wont have to tote anything.
4. Everybody Else: too hot to cook, so most of us are just bringing Popeyes. But bring whatever you want to share.

Wish I could SM. I was in Dallas last week and will be back in December...don't see Houston in my immediate future, but I told my sis to show up and look for you.

I'm still trying to figure out how to work this out without invoking the wrath of the hubby! He's not big on waiting, and not sure I'm gonna get complete cooperation out of him. :( (Yes, I know, he is spoiled)!!!

He'll be fine, Joanie... There's beer, there's Popeyes, there's dessert, there's live entertainment. I might even get a kiddie pool. it wont be for long.

got my tickets and blue lot pass today. from a Texans fan/season ticket holder. I may not be able to be at sams by 3:00; may have to meet in blue lot. i know they say you can't save spot, but do best u can. I have a good fan to bring, New Orleans Saints canopy, chairs, ice etc.

John, if you can make it to Sam's, I can haul some stuff for you. I'll even haul it back to your truck afterward!

Mike, we will also be bringing some of Ms. HouYat's famous Jambalaya, & I'm not sure what else. We'll think of something.....ps it won't be crawfish!

Lets meet at 2:45 at Sams Lot toward the McDonalds, but away from the gas port. (SE corner of McDonalds)I dont think we're going to have any trouble recognizing each other. Something tells me you have a little bit Saints stuff.
Ed contacted some bigshot from Reliant who suggested we "come out of the parking lot on Fannin and head south about 200 yards, turn right on Belfort and proceed to Kirby on Belfort. Once you hit Kirby turn right and head north to gate entrance 8 or 9 along Kirby."
I'd like to alter that route because if we come out of the parking lot on Fannin, its a left turn...difficult for us to stay together, and we have to cross the metro rail, which is very likely to cut us off. It would be a lot easier to stick together using RIGHT turns, So:
1. We leave the Sams Lot out that little driveway to the right of the McDonalds.
2. turn right. (onto 610 feeder)
3. take the first right, Knight Rd.
4. turn right on Belfort.
5. turn right on Kirby
6. go under 610
7. enter gate 8 or gate 9.
my guess is that we target lot #16, and get close to the Astrodome. This would make us easier for our other friends to find us.

btw, we cannot enter from Fannin, and we cannot use gate 5. I scoped it out yesterday. Our options are gates 6,7,8,9.
