Observations
The Saints haven’t had a running back group like the one the team will field this season. Watching the Saints’ first full-padded practice of the season, one thing was evident – this is a tough, physical, hard-running group. Pierre Thomas ran with his usual bit of physicality. That wasn’t surprising. It was what rookie Mark Ingram was doing and newcomer Darren Sproles did that stood out. Not to do the whole thunder and lightning thing – because let’s be honest, that has been overdone – but Ingram was the power to Sproles’ quickness. Or was it Ingram was the quickness to Sproles’ power. Indeed, both ran with speed and authority on Thursday. Ingram was bursting through holes and, at one point, did his best to run over free safety Malcolm Jenkins. Sproles ran hard, putting his head down between the tackles, but also turned the corner and got up the field like we haven’t seen in New Orleans. Full article below. Down here in "Fin"land - they are all talking about Reggie Bush - while I like Reggie I just don't see him carrying the load in Miami even with the rookie they have at RB. How long can Reggie stay healthy??

It wouldn't surprise me if Ivory doesn't end on the PUP list at the start of the season with the lack of practicing he's doing. Also watch out for Joique Bell.

I don't even think anyone even expected him to be able to practice this year. From what I have read he will be great value next year after he finishes rehabbing. I think the FO drafted him more for next year than this year.
