Junior Gallette making strides, NOLA.com called him "Unblockable"
 

Don't know if anybody else has watched this video, i was just keeping an update on Mark Ingram ( i hear he is coming along real well) and the guy from NOLA.com was talking about Junior.

Basically saying that he has the most talent from the pass rush stand point, he just needs to learn the system.
If he's got the most talent at Pass rush i really want to see him inserted into the lineup, he would be incredible as an outside rushing LB.

Actually he was abusing our starters last year.

And Duncan called him the best pass rusher on the team. Not the best at DE, but the best on the team.

Combined with the fact that Gregg Williams has praised him more than a time or two speaks volumes.

But perhaps Gregg Williams doesn't know a thing about players in this league. I guess thats possible.

And how many camps did you attend? Considering you know so much more about the game than pretty much anyone here I'm wondering why you didn't choose the NFL as your career...

Pretty cool; that someone who hardly saw the field last year, is getting so much praise this year.

As it is with Robinson. Ingram, Jordan, Wilson, Tennant, Hall, and Patrick.

Some people just don't like Junior for some reason, and it doesn't make sense to me. He looks like an exciting young player with a high ceiling.

For Saints fans to NOT get excited about him disappoints me.

If Canton thinks he is rubbish he must be good. He is an expert, he is just expert at being wrong.

lol all you guys blindly hyping a player doesnt make him any better. he might be the best DE to ever play but nobody knows that yet. dont build a guy up that didnt show enough to see the field last year. heck, he didnt even show enough in college to get drafted. someone please tell me why anybody should buy the ridiculous hype he gets from fans? no other teams care about our 3rd string DE and theres a reason for that

1 - No one is blindly hyping him
2 - He did see the field last year, albeit not much.
3 - Gregg Williams is excited about him.
4 - What exactly is ridiculous about a player showing a lot of potential in training camp, for the 2nd year in a row.
5 - If no other team cared, why did he make the 53 instead of simply being cut and signed to our practice squad?

This sounds exactly like your comments about Pierre Thomas as an UDFA rookie going into his 2nd season. How'd that work out for ya'?

I've been keeping an eye on this guy since he was picked up. Diamond in the rough for sure.

gw only talks about galette when ppl ask about him. he never talks about him otherwise.

theres nothing wrong with a guy showing potential but you dont need to jack off to a guy that hasnt played yet.

my being a coach or my knowledge of the game is irrelevant in this argument. its more about fans talking a player up before he even has the chance to show hes worth it

i did the exact same thing with pt. said wait and see. he showed that he could produce over a season and i commended him for it....what has galette done?

dont even put him in the same sentence as pt. just because they were udfas doesnt mean they have anything else in common

typical. knock a proven vet and build up a young unproven backup. these arent the old saints where every backup is better than the starters. our team is very good including depth but you make all saints fans look bad when you do stupid stuff like that

Yes, that is his exact opinion. Pierre Thomas is not good enough to be a starting RB in the NFL because he wasn't drafted. I had that long discussion with Canton years ago. If PT23 was good enough to be a starting RB then that means 32 scouting teams would have screwed up, and that is impossible. Bush is gone, Thomas is here. The only New Orleans Saint to score a rushing touch down in the Super Bowl? Pierre Thomas. All this is irrelevant. Reality has it wrong, not Canton. Draft position is EVERYTHING.

I think some people frequent another board where every other post is about how great Junior is and then they go on to yell JUUUUUNNNYAAA and think it is just hilarious. I think these people sometimes tend to take their frustrations out about it on this board becuase if they did so on that other board they would get banned.
