With one more afternoon practice to go before getting a day off, the New Orleans Saints prepared to step onto the outside fields in Metairie. About half an hour before practice began though, a sudden storm moved into the area and forced practice inside once again which closed it off to the public and unfortunately sent fans home for the day. The team still needed to get a lot of work in though as the first preseason game is Friday against the San Francisco 49ers.
*Pics couldn't really be taken on Sunday at the indoor practice so here is a huge gallery from Saturday afternoon's well-attended session on the outdoor fields. PRACTICE UPDATE: No practice on Monday, but the three practices on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are expected to all start at 4:00 PM and will be open to the public unless otherwise noted or inclement weather. ~ Wide receiver Marques Colston was at practice, but did not participate for a third straight day. With a day off upcoming on Monday, the Saints starting wideout expects to be back at work on Tuesday. |

The loss of Evans at fullback will surely upset a lot of fans, but sometimes these moves are just necesary and with guys like Korey Hall and Kolby Hurt showing their worth; it's hard for older players to get back out there sometimes

later Evans. I sure hope you made enough money to survive. I know your wife "needs" her time at Nordstroms. I'm sure though that you can get by on Ramen Noodles...you can get 'em by the box full at Costo for pretty cheap.
I hate to see the man struggle. I really do... |

Good to hear that Charles Brown is back out there. I'm also wondering; what kind of depth do we have at the G position?
