this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; After that game I had a feeling that the Saints would be in the Suoerbowl later that year, that comeback showed their heart and will that I had never seen in any other Saint team...

I wasn't even happy when we eventually pulled the game out of the hat.
I kept thinking, why are we letting these scrub teams hang around with even a hope of winning? All it would take is a bad call. Why aren't we blowing these people out? But that's what a Superbowl season is made of. Even when we didn't play well, the ball bounced our way. Last year we just didn't get the bounces. Lots of things have to go our way to TWO DAT: minimal injuries, execution and consistency on both sides of the ball, right places at the right times, holding our mouths just right. We won in Miami, then went back to win the Superbowl. We won in Dallas, then somehow lost our ticket in Seattle. Don't know where we dropped that thing. We just need to win in Indy, then go back and reclaim our crown. |

I think watching that game is a good way to explain to people why I won't be getting rid of my Shockey or Bush jerseys even though they are now long gone.

Thought we were gonna lose it for sure, but kept hoping we'd pull it out and we did. Since then have watched it a dozen times at least on dvd.
