Saints Games - Streaming Audio

When we send our Saints broadcast from Jim & Hokie to computer servers that redistribute the audio to thousands of WWL.com listeners, it requires massive "buffering" of the audio to ensure that everyone can hear the game

And when they say massive, they mean it. WWLs internet feed was several plays behind the television game feed...which is fine by me, but the guys here in the chat box watching it on TV were way ahead of what I was hearing...Transmissions to the Moon are probably faster, round trip, but oh well...

Makes me wonder if adjusting it on the DVR is a waste of time. It sounds like the delay would have have a random changing parameter. Oh well, it's free. I do have Sirius but what Saint fan would not want t listen to WWL. They just need to change that horn chime in or whatever it is. They've been having the same intro sound for like 20 years. Downright annoying.

Here in NO WWL is reporting that the radio feed is faster than the TV cast which means you can sync the game with a little effort. The preseason games are being handled by Cox.net of New Orleans and is not a network broadcast. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with.
