I'm going to have to place my trust in the coaches with this. They are just a little bit more knowledgeable than me and know what the hell their doing.

True, and I'm sure they didn't just release him without a plan.

Totally did not see that coming. To those of you who say thats great, Stinch IS a pro bowl Tackle, and they do not come easy especially this time of year. Yea he was bad, and has been injured, but is Streif a better option? I hope to hell there is some veteran out there we can pick up, because if not we are in deep ****. This is not the year to go ****ing around with your offensive line, and we already replaced Goodwin.

Who else is out there that we could go after????

I know he was good at onetime.. but he would have gotten Brees killed this year...im with you on we need to pick up someone solid for the season..sooooooooooooooon!!!..Strief is serviceable.. but we need help there..

Soooooo, how about Tennant at LG and Nicks at RT?

Nicks would be a flat out dominant RT in this league, and they are apparently real high on Tennant at either OC or OG.

I think we still need to bring someone in for depth, and as I said, I dont think this is the year to experiment with moving around your offensive line. Especially when that move involves one of the best guards in the league and a back up center going in out of position as a starter. You need at least an entire offseason to pull off a move like that.

I like it! Strief will be the new RT. He's not the greatest pass blocker, but he is a stud in the run!

Sorry for Stinchcomb because this is likely due to his injury....however we are still in fine shape.

I actually think the best alignment at this point might be to put Strief at left tackle and move Bushrod over to the right side.

Most likely correct, but Nicks did play OT his entire college career, at a school that lead the nation in pass attempts. It wouldn't be unfamiliar territory for him.

Im like you though, Im sure they have a plan. If they are bringing someone in, they already have a deal done. The FO has proven they know what they are doing with **** like this.

It's not that big a change really. Most right tackles are glorified guards anyway. Unless you play on a team with a left-handed quarterback your right tackle is usually just a big masher who's not a good enough pass blocker to play the left side.
