Couldn't agree more... I absolutely think Hutchinson is one of the best at that position at least in the modern era. Still, my point was that AP is a beast of a human and a head above any and all of the Saints' RBs, so it's better not to look at something he has done as something they could do.

Based on what I've read on this issue, and from both sides... it seems that the decision was not entirely one-sided, but that Stinch himself felt not up to par and, therefore, was OK with the Saints' decision.

Again, this is the understanding that I've come to, but it could naturally be false in some or all aspects of it. If he is not healthy enough to play, why would bringing him up as a backup - while taking up a much needed roster spot - be a good idea?
