It doesn't really matter who fills the roster spot unless it's Darren Sharper. Whoever it is is just "filler" for the roster. As these cuts continue our roster will fluctuate considerably.
On a side note I didn't realize how many new starters we'll have OT, RB, FB, and center on offense alone.(depending on where you place PT) Everyone talks about our cohesiveness along the front line.....I sure hope we are able to keep it. On defense we'll have new starters at DT, Sam, Will and probably at DE. With the injuries to CB already we may see a new face there too.
That could be as many as eight new starters or six at the very least.

Good point Rugby Saint II. I guess that's part of the reason Drew Brees said the offense "still isn't there yet." Hopefully, they get their rhythm down to a science by the time they have to travel up to Lambeau Field to play the World Champion Green Bay Packers on Sept 8! Defense, I'm not worried about in the slightest. All they have to know how to do is go after the man with the ball and take it away to give it back to Drew and Co!

Unless the league mandates that Sean Payton bring in another player to make the roster 90 strong again, I doubt he does anything (barring an offer being accepted by Sharper to come back, of course...) at all between now and the next cut down to 75 on August 30 myself.

Sharper would be good for depth but would it be worth what he would demand?

Just handed today's "updated" roster. Saints appear to be sticking with 89 players. We'll find out for sure when prax starts

Just happened today while I was away from all internet news access for a few hours in fact. RB Patrick Cobbs from the Dolphins is now on the Saints full-again 90-man roster wearing the old number of Heath Evans 44 at Saints camp this afternoon...
