When I mention the "upside" of a certain player, I always refer to his potential to be better than the other guy I'm comparing him to. As I understand it, you consider the whole concept of "upside" as ridiculous, and like to evaluate players based on their abilities and performance at the current moment with no regard to the near future. Still, I would think that there is something to be said about thinking ahead, which is how "dynasty-like" franchises are made. Please don't take this as an attack on your point of view... just as a comment to your previous comments about the subject. ![]() |
