They must have seen something they liked in him, if they placed him there.
Since they did not cut him. |

Well the Barron thing makes perfect sense when you realize (in hindsight) that there was clearly something going on behind the scenes with Stinchcomb that we didn't yet know about. This move just kind of tucks Barron neatly away, out of sight out of mind, and if they want to, the coaches can figure out their RT position next off season, and during next year's camp -- when there's a LOT more time. Barron may be back, maybe not. But now I've realized they almost certainly pulled the trigger on signing this guy Barron, because they knew that Stinch's days were numbered, and they needed to jump on signing somebody quick, as a "just in case" type of guy because the coaches knew something was up with Stinchcomb being on his way out the door. And I guess Barron got dinged, and they decided over the last few weeks that they could roll for the time being with Zach Strief in there. Because #64 IS ELIGIBLE! And we all know Payon loves another weapon, LOL.

He got injured as a Saint. They had no choice but to put him on IR. When he gets healthy, look for him to be released with an injury settlement.
