Sellers' Remorse, Anyone?
Reggie Bush shredded the Panties:
8 rushes for 48 yards 2 catches for 33 yards. Good runs between the tackles, and he didn't get hurt. Go get'em Reggie! Anyone want him back? |
I wish him the best, but It was sure hard to watch.
|
I'm happy for him. Good Luck Reggie ! Thanks aging for everything you did for N'awlins. That Super Bowl win.
|
No way should the Saints ever consider sellers remorse. We all know a healthy Reggie can actually cause some major damage. The problem is healthy Reggie was rarely around most of his Saints career. I am very happy for the guy to get a fresh start, but don't get fooled by those numbers he put up in a meaningless preseason game. If recent history holds to form he is going to get at least dinged and his production will go into a nose dive. To me, I think the Saints got over on the Dolphins by getting something in return on a guy who would have been an obvious salary cap causality.
|
Good performance undoubtedly, but it's not the first time Reggie is the king of pre-season! Unfortunately, as we all know, that pre-season form rarely showed up in the actual season... naturally all the injuries played also a part in that.
|
we are forgetting one thing. He was running against the Panthers defense....
|
This is one of the other stories I will be following during the season besides the main story, the Saints, of course. It will be interesting to see what happens in Miami.
I am interested in the Tebow story, the Plaxico story, the Cam Newton story, and the Philadelphia Eagles story, will Eli have to eat his words or prove he got snubbed in the "Top 100" poll story. Isn't the NFL great...most of the time? |
Remember when he "shredded" the Titans in preseason with us?
Knees. Shot. Career. Nearing it's end. |

H#LL NO.
Of *course* he's working his butt off. Cause he looks like an idiot for getting traded. But as soon as he gets comfortable... same old Reggie. He's Ricky Williams #2. He'll do some damage at Miami here and there, but never live up to the hype. Getting rid of him was the best thing the Saints have done since saying "Ta ta" to Aaron Brooks. |
We lost our biggest threat out of the backfield....Shockey looked good to...i hope losing these guys doesn't bite us in the a$$..i like adding youth..but sometimes that can take a few years to develop...

PT>Bush Ingram likely is as well. Bush wasn't that big of a threat out of the backfield. |
..."Its Practice"
I don't care. Don't want him back. |

Yet to be seen my friend.... |
I would be really concerned if I was a FinFan (pun intended) 'cos If Bush goes down (which he in all probability does) during the season, they only have that promising rookie kid Daniel Thomas and the rest of the RBs on their roster are just not impressive... Grigsby, Sheets and Hilliard.
|
he's gonna have his days fella's just like here , when hes on the field. aha, thats it wish them some luck guys, we did'nt have much keeping him on the field. go get-um regg.
|
Bush is going to the AFC. Where the defense is just all around better. He'll be dancing around and getting smashed in no time...Last night he played the worst team in the NFC in PRESEASON...not concerned.
|
Just watched the first half of that game..Bush looked great i have to say..he was all over the dam place..
|
It doesn't matter how good he looks. Penn & Teller look like they do real magic too. They don't. Unlike Reggie, they do a good job of keeping up the consistency of the illusion, and they aren't oft injured in the process.
PT23>Reggie Sproles>Reggie Penn & Teller>Reggie Ivory>Reggie And maybe Ingram too. |

Well he looked like Houdini last night....that is all:) |

I wish him well, though. |
Ask me after week 9.

I can't type this big enough....
ITS PREASEASON!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Or is that specifically what you're referring to? |
there is wide speculation that the draft pick(s) involved are conditional on his performance.
RUN REGGIE RUN |
Good for him, I hope he does well the rest of the way. Can't really say seller's remorse, though, after one preseason game. We all know Reggie CAN play well, it's just whether or not he actually will when the games really matter. I feel good about our backfield situation this season, plus we got a draft pick for him, which is incredible in my opinion.
|
I will second that "HELL NO". Dude shredded a poor Panthers defense with an offensive line built for the run. We are much, much better off without him.

If we would have received a bag of chips & a soda, we still would have come out ahead. Getting a draft pick for him was icing on the cake. ;-) |
i still give him only 4-5 games befoe somehting happens
|
eh...he did that for the saints too....twice a year.
|
Agree with Homer, he"ll be on the sidelines soon. He's not built for the kind of abuse he is asking for.
|
Good pre-season game for Reggie.
Good for him. Hope he can keep it up. Unfornuately, he couldn't keep it up for the Saints, especially when they needed him up in Seattle. And we definitely don't need a $12M decoy! |
I wish him the best and I'm greatful (well, kinda greatful) for his time in NOLA.
No remorse, no regets; for drafting hm or seeing him let go. IMHO, it was time to cut bait. HAIL MING! |
Good for him. The very best wishes for him fora good, healthy season.
Whoever wins or loses, whatever team wins, makes great plays, makes awful plays, whatever, none of it matters during preseason. This is the time to try things out and everyone out so to speak. |
