I had high hopes for former NFL starter Paul Oliver. But he looked flat awful.
Amaya has looked OK, but against scrubs. I haven't seen McDaniel do anything yet. Has he played? Reis is a special teamer. Prioloux looked OK, but nothing special. I always thought Usama didn't get the respect he deserved. I wish we still had him. |

As far as Oliver goes, I saw the 25 and thought Reggie was back there tryin to tackle Foster, lol...
safety is the weak spot on the D. If Tracy doesn't get healthy soon and Jabiri plays in the reg season like he did last night.....corner will be as well. |

Prioleau, Reis ans Trumaine McBride will be the backups at safety behind Harp and Jenkins, watch... At least that's my take on it so far from what I have seen from two preseason games and know about the other guys. McBride is a big tackler for the team so far in the preseason...
Definitely missing Usama Young. I always liked him ever since his rookie year with the team at camp in Jackson. Hated to see him leave right when I was expecting big things from him on the field as a Saint too... |

That was my first reaction too "What the hell is Reggie doing back there" then i remembered. The depth don't look great right now, its an area that need some work.

The dropoff at S, OT, and OG will be cringe-worthy if one of those guys goes down. But, it's like that throughout the league. The stars and starters get paid and then you have the rest and hope for the best. Peyton Manning is making $23 mil but if Painter has to play, the Colts are going 0-16.

Sharper is much needed, you could even stick him in the nickle if we get banged up in the CB area.
He needs to get signed! |
