He looked quite raw out there but pretty athletic, I think he could grow into a good backup over time.

I think it's the number he is wearing.. I think a Voodoo Priestess cursed it.. But seriously it was one game.. Kinda like Roman Harper he has had bad games we still got him... He will adjust..

I thought long and hard about this Oliver guy, because it was such a WTF stinkeroo game for him. And I've said this here before -- after I cooled down somewhat from the Texans loss, I thought about it some more, and I found myself wondering if maybe GW sorta threw the noob guy back there, all by his lonesome, with no help from anybody, to kind of hang him out to dry, on purpose -- to see what he's made of.
So maybe the reasons Oliver in particular looked so glaringly stinkeroo back there was that (a) he's only been with the team for two weeks, and (b) maybe he was kinda being thrown to the wolves out there, on purpose, in a very vanilla scheme. I dunno. He looked TURRIBLE, but the guy's only been here two weeks. I'm thinking he can't really be THAT STINKING BAD, and have played in the league for 4 or 5 years like he has. I think it was just a combination of him being thrown to the wolves that night, and that he got really picked on by the Texans. The 1's for the Texans offense obviously knew to go right AT him. |

Check out these vids, guys...just to ease your comcerns a bit. He looked bad yes...but as stated above there are logical reasons behind it. The guy can play ball, he just needs to catch up in this system and get comfortable with his assignements. |

Do you guys not realize the impact this offseason has had on the players? Everyone is playing catch up getting used to the speed of the game again. By the first game of the regular season everyone should be back on track. Also, its the preseason guys...teams arent out there to show everyone their best, they are getting used to playing in real games. Yall read way too much into this preseason stuff. Just sayin
