HOUMA COURIER Mike Detillier is an NFL analyst based in Raceland. SAINTS COURTING WOODSON? Saints insiders have already said that they will make a huge pitch to sign cornerback Charles Woodson if the Oakland Raiders do not protect him. Woodson becomes an unrestricted free agent in late February, and so far, he and the Raiders have not been able to reach a long-term agreement. Over the years, the Raiders have experienced some difficulty coming down under the salary-cap limit, and executive Bruce Allen has been interviewed as a possible replacement for former general manager Rich McKay at Tampa Bay. It’s no secret that Saints coach Jim Haslett has a strong desire to bring in Woodson. |

SAINTS COURTING WOODSON
Should be interesting courtship considering :
Dec. 21, 2003 Mixed reviews phoned in for Horn\'s theatrics • Cornerback Woodson says the wide receiver would\'ve had trouble if he were playing the Raiders THE NFL SLAPPED New Orleans Saints wide receiver Joe Horn with a $30,000 fine for his cell phone touchdown celebration antics last week. That\'s a painful penalty, but not as painful as the one he might have paid if, say, he had pretended to phone home after scoring against the Raiders instead of the New York Giants. \"As a defensive back, I would have taken it personally,\" Raiders cornerback Charles Woodson said Wednesday. \"I would have taken it to heart. \"We probably would have had an altercation on the field.\" Woodson said he doesn\'t mind if a wide receiver dances and has \"a little fun\" after scoring a touchdown. Horn\'s celebration -- he grabbed a cell phone that he had stashed under the goal post padding -- crossed the line, Woodson said. \"It\'s humiliating already to get beat for a touchdown,\" Woodson said. Horn said the celebration was all in good fun and that he was simply giving the fans \"what they want, what they pay their hard-earned money for, and that\'s excitement.\" |

Yeah I wouldn\'t put much stock in this... I haven\'t heard anything on this except staff taking time off and getting ready for combine and junk. The article says \"Saints Insiders\", that could be the guy who is responsible for turning the lights out in the dome. Plus, the reporter is in Raceland... \"have you been to Raceland??? LOL.

SAINTS COURTING WOODSON
Actually Mike D. has owned and operated his own private scouting service since 1986. He has also published his \"M&D Draft Report \" since 86, showcasing all the nfl draft prospects. Mike\'s private scouting service and comments on the college and professional game have landed him regular appearances on radio and television stations across the country. Mike also runs a very popular saints website, much like this one.
