We follow all 90 on the Saints roster and when someone gets nicked up, it's news and it's painful to all of us. An example of this is Morgan and Junya. Most of the NFL world doesn't know who these guys are. To us, the sky is falling when these guys go down. LOL. The rest of the league and it's fans are going through the same thing. Some better some worse. The Giants have no secondary. The Colts are looking at 0-16 without Peyton. Right now, most of the Saints look to be a go with the games that count 2 weeks away.

These guys are the "Ferarri's"" of the athletic world, highly trained, finely tuned machines. World Class Athletes! They push their bodies to the limit all the time and they put so much stress on joints, tendons and ligaments etc and sometimes its too much and something gives way. None of the coaches want players to get injured, and I honestly believe they do all they can to prevent it. But its the nature of the sport, its the roughest team sport in existence and injuries are going to happen.

I agree with this except for the one part: rugby for one comes to mind. Even without the "thumb action" the after game pub runs are a killer - or so I've been told.

I know a few rugby players who would disagree with you.
It really is possible to strengthen your body by continuing to abuse it. Ruggers like to say "that which does not kill you makes you stronger". It also seems to work for MMA.......just sayin'

Even over the last five years, we have been in the middle of the pack on injury's. People get hurt, the packers lost the most last year. The downfall to the saints he just had injury's all at one position.

We just assume that we get hit all the time, but if we were following every team as close as the saints, you will see they have just as much.

It's long overdue - we need to find that Falcon-loving voodoo priestess!

I wish somebody would fire you. We won the Super Bowl two years ago... injuries happen, it's a tough game. I hope no other fans are over here reading this, you make Saint fans sound weak.

If you want to see a bunch of healthy people playing a game, go watch golf (exception of Tiger Woods).

No, you make Saints fans look weak. Anytime anyone says anything negative about a player or coach, or just doesn't kiss enough butt, you start crying like a baby. "Waaah, teacher! Teacher! He said something mean about Payton!"

You are about a half an inch from being Choup part two, but you aren't even half as funny as he is.

I see this thread moving to Smack Talk very soon... But let me retort before I do.

I blast a lot of our guys... ask me my thoughts about Zach Strief, Paul Oliver, Scott Shanle, Brees (of late) or a number of others, and I'll give you my honest opinion.

What I don't like is douche nozzles who call for somebody's job because of something out of their control. The trainers are there to stretch, ice, and treat injured players... not to use magical wizard powers to prevent injuries. S&C coaches are there to make guys bigger, stronger, faster, not to be blamed every time somebody goes down. People get injured, why does it have to be somebody's fault? Maybe the player didn't stretch properly, maybe the player wore the wrong cleats, maybe certain weather conditions made an injury more possible, maybe there was a minuscule tear in a player's hamstring from a while ago that just now flares up.

Obviously I ruffled your feathers on the other thread because you so wisely stated that Robert Meachem "sucks" and should be cut because he made a challenging over the shoulder sideline grab and didn't defy the laws of gravity to stay in bounds... regardless of whether or not he moved the team inside the ten yard line. But you're right, let's cut him, he sucks. Let's get you out there on the field big boy, I'm sure you could teach our boys a thing or two about making difficult over the shoulder catches in the NFL.

It's cool, you can't handle people calling out your b.s., I understand.
