While he did make bad decisions, all the picks weren't his fault. I mean I would have loved for our 3rd string/practice squad quarterback to stomp over their 1st and 2nd string defense, but it's clear why he's just a developmental prospect.
Not really a big deal... just like the game. |

I've just watched the highlights so far and read the stats, Canfield was 29/39 for 249yds a TD and 2INTs (where one should have been a catch and the other was stupid).
Does the stats make justice to his performance? I mean thats a 74% completion ratio, thats pretty good if you ask me. |

I still haven't watched the game (probably won't) judging from the stats it looks like he may have earned himself another year on the practice squad. He is still a pretty decent prospect and probably has a lock on the 3rd string spot, which for the Saints is a practice squad spot.

If he were our QB, I'd dig out my old grocery sack with the eye holes cut out of it, but he's not. It was a major stink-out in the Dome and the D and special teams had just as much to do with that as Canfield. Now there's just under a week until some real football. (Unless our idiots in Washington figure out a way to screw that up!)

Well....??
Did everybody just thoroughly enjoy that game? Isn't preseason wonderful??? I just don't get it. I guess it's the same with a lot of things in America. We will take what they dish-out in most cases and just go around singing, "La la la". We should not have to pay to watch an NFL team evaluate their guys that are on the bubble. I say that like I do pay, which I don't...not for a preseason game. The only way I go to one of those is if somebody gives me the tickets and springs for the gas money, concession money, and then beignets on the way home. The beignets would make the trip worth while. |
Whether you think you can or think you can't...you're right!
