Game 4 Preseason = Final Auditions. That'a all it is. I hope that whoever fills out the final 53 better start showing up when their number is called.

You team is only as good as your bench. And if our second and third stringers played like they did vs the Tennessee Tuxedos, we're in trouble. Point blank.

Depth is when you can replace 1 or 2 positions and continue playing at the same level. Not swapping out the entire team and expecting to play at the same level.

Exactly, it was Billy Joe flashbacks for me as well. Or even further. I kept telling my girlfriend, "No, really. This is what ALL the games used to be like, back when I was kid." I mean for the old timers, it was a real flashback to the old days, when the end zone sacks for safeties, and the fumbles and interceptions and missed extra points and hapless QBs running around like chickens, it used to be that was the Saints "A GAME," and stuff like that went on for the WHOLE SEASON, not just one screwy night in August.

yep... I remember all that. fumbled snaps, penalties in bad spots, and good old fashioned getting run over by the other team.

well i guess we wont be getting too ****y.

Especially when the other team comes in looking to win their first regular season game (i.e. Buccaneers in '77 and the reinstated Browns in '99)
