My Saints Free Agency Preview

Figured I'd put this out early:

Saints Have Plenty of Options
Contributed by Gregory Gibson

With yet another disappointing season behind us, Saints optimists and pessimists alike now look to the offseason for renewed hope. One thing the New Orleans front office can be commended about is their cap management. With nearly $23 million in salary cap space, money will be the last excuse the Saints can use for not bringing in top talent this offseason.

The offensive side of the ball will see the least amount of turnover during free agency. A backup running back, a wide receiver, and line depth are the obvious positions of focus. A multi-talented fullback wouldn’t hurt this offense either. RB’s Aaron Stecker, Amos Zereoue, Duce Staley, and Kevin Faulk are all potential backups to Deuce McAllister.
