Nice preview with lots of good and seemingly accurate assessments.

But, I don't completely agree with you giving the edge with DBs to the Packers - I would think the two teams are pretty even in that regard if you look at the starting safeties and first 3 CBs in the depth chart.

GB: Morgan Burnett (SS); Nick Collins (FS); Charles Woodson (CB); Tramon Williams (CB); and Sam Shields (CB).

NO: Roman Harper (SS); Malcolm Jenkins (FS); Jabari Greer (CB); Tracy Porter (CB); and Patrick Robinson (CB).

I think those are pretty close... especially with the further progress Jenkins has made.

Thanks FinSaint! Even looking at it written out like this, I'd still take the Packers secondary.. SS Burnett is a guy that can hit (like Harper) AND cover (unlike Harper), that alone gives them the advantage at Safety. Greer & Porter are VERY solid corners..problem is health. I need my corners to be out there for 16 games, which is why I sided with GB. Woodson's added versatility is another reason why I gave the Pack the edge.

Don't get me wrong, Jenkins is a stud, but everywhere else there's some questions...albeit slight ones

While you may be correct concerning a 16 game season, we are talking about one game with all players coming in healthy.

Oh, and good job once again. I really enjoy these every week.

Well I just think it's much closer between the two than what I thought you decided upon in the preview, but, alas, I might've misinterpreted the nuances of your speech, since English isn't my native language.

My (Black & Gold) opinion is that the Packers have a slight edge with the safeties - due to what you already alluded to - but I think that the Saints have a similar edge with the CBs. Granted that Woodson is a monster of a DB, but I'd still take the Saints' 3 CBs over the 3 from the Packers as a group.

Health has been - and might continue to be - a problem for the Saints' backfield. But as AsylumGuido stated, all of them are healthy for this particular game, which is what we are discussing here.

Still, I have to emphasize that I really enjoyed your preview despite this small disagreement between us.

I'm the opposite. I believe they have the edge at corner while we have it at safety. We have good corners... they have really really good corners.

Yeah they have a better overall D than us..i have to admit...but i think we have an edge in the running game..we need to run them to death.spread them out and run the ball...and use play action and screens for that over aggressive D we must block Matthews the guy will be coming..I expect G.W to dial up some cover blitzes to try and pressure Rogers and not get burnt at the same time...and Kasey has to make his kicks for us to win..JMO

And as usual great job Emory...sorry bout those Rajun Cajuns this weekend...lol

Thanks AG! With one game, everyone healthy... Hmmmm.. I still gotta go with the Pack.. Greer sometimes makes me want to watch baseball how he gets turned around on certain plays

Loving the debate FinSaint! My B&G opinion would rather them blow out the Packers... However, As long as Jim Thorpe aka Charles Woodson is back there.. I gotta side with the Safeties of the Packers

You guys like Harper more than I do I guess... I LOVE him in the run game and on blitzes..everything else makes me choose Barnett over him

Thanks Strato!! Hey... my Cajuns pitched a shutout for 1:49 seconds in the 1st quarter.. that my friend is what I like to call improvement! LOL

I agree...Payton is less stubborn than McCarthy when it comes to running the ball.. Saints can control the pace of the game IF Payton realizes that its okay to run
