Mike Florio from Pro Football Talk picks the Saints
"Saints at Packers Florio’s take: The home team has won the regular-season opener since 2003. The Saints will be the first team to play in the Thursday night opener three times. The lockout workouts conducted by the Saints could be the difference against the Packers, who got together as a team during the lockout only to collect their Super Bowl rings. Florio’s pick: Saints 28, Packers 24." See the rest of their Picks for the NFL this week at PFT.com |

Florio and Rosenthal pick the Saints to win!
Both Mike Florio and Greg Rosenthal are picking the Saints to defeat the Packers by small margins tonight on Lambeau Field.
Florio picks the Saints to win 28-24 and Rosenthal, 31-28. Florio also picks the Bears to defeat the Falcons. I think if the Saints won and the Falcons lost opening week I would cry tears of joy. Here is the link: PFT’s Week One Picks | ProFootballTalk |

That and $10 will buy a latte' at Starbucks. We have to do it on the field.
But a victory here would do wonders for team confidence and morale. Hopefully, if it's a loss, it won't hurt too badly. |

Packers are over-rated.
They barely made the playoffs, beat a weak Philly team that backed into the playoffs Then beat an over-rated Atlanta team. Everyone saw that coming Beat the MOST over-rated team in the entire playoffs in the Bears Beat a good Pittsburgh team in the Superbowl who weren't very good defending the pass. They're a good team, but certainly not a great one. Saints by 4 |

Please don't let it come down to a field goal, don't know if I could handle it. Gives me chest pain just thinking about it. Rogers ability to scramble could be a killer if we miss tackles.

I don't see the Pack as overrated at all...they are the team to beat and we are the ones who can do it..The Dirty Turds sure couldn't ..also remember they were banged up really bad and still rolled..just giving them the respect they deserve..

I kind of agree with the logic of Florio here. I look at streaks and stats like that -- no team has ever done this or that thing, or won this after doing that...."no team that lost to the winless Tampa Bay Bucanners in 1976, has ever gone on to win a Super Bowl, and then two years later won their away opener on grass with a south easterly wind when wearing black shoes"... I see "stats" like the home team always winning the opener thing, and I think, "well, that trend has gotta end sometime, why not tonight." I also think the Packers are a really good team, but I kinda think they are just plain old due to lose a game, they haven't lost one in a while and it's just about $#%$#% time for them to drop one.

In my opinion this is gonna be a blowout. These Saints are gonna roll through Green Bay and look impressive doing it.
