linebackers to watch in draft

DJ WILLIAMS Outside Linebacker
Senior | Miami
HT:6'2
WT:235
FORTY:4.6 (unofficial)

|DERRICK JOHNSON Outside Linebacker
Junior | Texas
HT:6'4
WT:230
FORTY:4.50 (unofficial)
BIO: One of the top recruits in the state of Texas, Johnson stayed home and has been a starter since his true freshman season.
ANALYSIS: Outstanding speed and quickness. Is all over the field making plays from sideline to sideline. Great on the blitz and outstanding in coverage. Has great range and plays well in space. Still needs to add strength and work at shedding blocks but does a nice job of avoiding them. Right now, he projects better outside but has the potential to move inside as well.
OVERALL: Destined to be a high pick, just how high will depend on this season, probably gone after this year. A top 10-15 player.

TEDDY LEHMAN Outside Linebacker
Senior | Oklahoma
HT:6'2
WT:240
FORTY:4.65 (unofficial)

ROD DAVIS Inside Linebacker
Senior | Southern Miss
HT:6'3
WT:240
FORTY:4.8 (unofficial)

BIO: All-American performer who had a breakout year as a Junior recording 168 tackles (122 solo, 24 for loss) and 10.5 sacks. From Gulfport, MS.
ANALYSIS: Very active and productive player. Excellent tackler, very sturdy and sure in stuffing the run game. Isn't a particularly outstanding athlete who will run a 4.5/4.6 forty but shows good tenacity and chase ability. Is limited in coverage and that is an area he needs to improve on. Still, natural football instincts and productivity cannot be overlooked.
OVERALL: Could move into late 1st if he times well, or he could drop later into day 1. Workouts will be big, but his play on the field will speak for itself.

RICHARD SIEGLER Outside Linebacker
Senior | Ohio State
HT:6'3
WT:240
FORTY:4.65 (unofficial)

linebackers to watch in draft

If that\'s the case, then I was wrong on Lehman, but there is a linebacker that plays at OU that runs a 4.3/40- anyone know who it is? I\'ve had several discussions over cards and beers with a few Sooner fans in the past, and they verified what I had heard. Is it Lance Mitchell? Pasha Jackson maybe?

linebackers to watch in draft

I watched OU-Bama this year and the OU linebackers were some of the fastest I\'ve ever seen. I think I remember that LB. He moved so fast I couldn\'t get his name or number.
I\'d be happy with any of them.
If our draft pick has CB or LB after their name I\'ll be happy.
