This team was built on pass blocking. Then in '09 when GW came in and slapped the Oline around then they got some attitude which they brought to the run game. Since then we've lost our center and RT who are both stiff as a board. We don't get any rushing yards because we don't get a push. We usually step back in pass protection. I think that's the difference. jmho

I think it's just a matter of them getting into a groove. We were behind and playing catch up. It was just one game... we'll get on track.

It's all just too cute. It's hard to run cute!
The four wide set works for me...nobody in the box. That creates lanes even before the snap. 20 rushes last week and 50 tosses...50!. Yeah, yeah, playing from behind - catch up mode, we've heard that one. We had over 50 minutes to make up the 14 point hole we dug, and we've seen it before. We've also seen Brees approach 60. We may have to pull him because of his pitch count. Unitl it's a priority with Payton, we will struggle with it. We will have some good days on the ground and we will win easily. If things get difficult, Payton is going to open the gate and let Brees loose. |
