Johnny Patrick looked good in preseason and looks like he could really contribute when back from injury. I saw him playing aggresive and with high energy which our defense desperatley needs.

I "still" think we are too short!
We are now in the powder puff, please don't touch the receiver league. We will get lot's of greif from the officials only because it looks like our guys are climbing a tree when the balls in the air. 1st and 10's, 1st and goals, and fades to the corner just because... If receivers have time to make a double moves on us, and QB's have time to wait on a double move, we are toast anyway. |

I still think that Greer, Porter, and Robinson are above average when it comes to the NFL CBs, and, furthermore, I believe Robinson will develop into the No 1 CB for this team within the next two seasons (hopefully forming a shutdown tandem with Patrick). I'm inclined to think that it might not just be about the players themselves - somebody already brought up the point about the change in the secondary coaching - but that it might have more to do with the way the coverage schemes and game plans are drawn up, because it seems to me that neither of those are putting the Saints' CBs in the best possible situation to succeed in, which coaching is ultimately about. |

Yeah the D-Line is getting no pressure....the quarterback is just sitting back and being patient. I hope the defense comes ready to play sunday.

And this is the problem; I posted earlier that no defensive linemen had their hand up except Ellis on one play; is Tom Johnson hurt because he was in beast mode during the preseason along with King and as for King I saw him just get pushed around against the Packers, I’d like to see what Johnson can do and if he pans out and big Will returns than we may see better 2ndary play

We've loaded up at the position for now. If someone goes down and Gay is still available I say why not?

Playing 10 yards off the receiver and moving backwards prior to the snap could be a problem. Not to mention tackling the receiver once the pass is caught!
You can have all the push from the DL or "exotic blitzes" one wants, but a quick out pass will net at least 5 to 6 yds! |
