What to exploit against the Bears

For those who got to watch my second favorite team (last weekend only) dismantle the faClowns, you may have some insight into what the Saints have to do to beat them.

Obviously, score more points. Duh, but what weaknesses were evident?

I only saw a few plays, but it seems that their corners are susceptible as are their safeties against large and athletic TE's. I doubt that we will be able to generate much in the run game as they're going to push out a 4 man set with a variable blitz.

On offense, the human clown-punch Cutler has to rely on timing passes because their O-line is improbably worse than ours. They rely on screens and cutbacks to deflect the slathering over-pursuit of defenses.

Anybody got insight here?

I know their front guys on D are good, but I REALLY want to see us make an honest attempt at running the ball.

I think the key to this game for us is getting pressure on cutler. It would be nice if we could do it without blitzing the water boy, but we made need him. Cutler will make some mistakes if we get in his face.

i think all they really have is a decent front 7. Line i above average and so is their LBs. i also believe that GB has a better d straight up. Brees is no matt ryan. we'll prob have trouble running the ball as usual and brees will carve them up like he does most def's. Im really not impressed with them offensively. you say they ate them up on screens but the stats are deceiving cause one of them was a 50-60 yd screen play. their wr are not good. Hester is the biggest playmaker but only makes plays when he starts out in the open. Cutler chokes, forte is ok, their TEs are not great either. Our D usually comes out on fire after a performance like we just had. i think we whoop their @$$

If Jenkins and Harper has a field day, we win. With Harper being an in the box type safety, he's going to be crucial helping stop Forte and putting pressure on Cutler. Vilma has to be able to shed blocks and we need our ends to stay disciplined. We must also capitalize on Cutler's mistakes... there will be a few and that's where Jenkins comes in.

I like I chances against them this week... especiallly defensively.

Actually two of those were 50+ screen plays. And, our front 7 is beyond decent. Urlacher, Briggs, Peppers, this new kid Melton (who had 2 sacks and 7 QB hits against the Falcons) Not to mention we have you utterly dominated on special teams. Our Secondary's pretty good too. It'll be interesting to see if Brees can still throw TD passes with a concussion. Kreutz can't block an 8 year old girlscout.

Peppers. Contain him.
Brees. Protect him.
Ball. Run it.
Deep passes. Complete them.

You know how many concussions Cutler has had in career right? Because he doesn't. I think you Bear fans need worry about how to keep your qb on his feet and out the training room behind that pathetic offensive line then worry about injurying Brees.

To go on another team's message board and wish injury on their quarterback is sad and pathetic. Very trashy but not atypical from what we've experienced from Bear fans in the past.

Trolls... every team has them.
