My local Fox station here in Tuscaloosa is showing the Packers vs. Panthers game. Scam Newton breaks my heart again. LOL.

I like both of them. Smooth and informative.
They let the game be the entertainment, not the broadcast. I can't think of a better crew. |

I just look forward to 2 things, knowing these 2 will be calling the game...
I'm looking forward to hearing Buck say, "_____, (insert any Saint receiver here) over the middle...TOUCHDOWN!" I'll be surprised if I don't hear that. The 2nd thing I look forward to is after the game. I can't explain it, but my wife...I guess it's like that episode of ELR when Deborah, (or Debra?) is taking aerobic classes. Troy seems to have the same effect on her. |

I hardly even hear those guys. I'm too busy trying to subliminally telepath instructions to Sean Payton and Greg Williams. Every now and then I get through to Greg but Payton must be operating on a higher frequency.

I remember once when I was a kid the NFL did an experimental game where there were no announcers. It sucked. I mean, either you like the guys and enjoy what they do and how they do it or you hate them so you enjoy hating on them and throwing stuff at the TV when they say something stupid. But that's part of the fun.
Personally Buck and Aikman do a fine job IMO. I think that no team today is an entertaining as Madden/Summeral, but I loved those guys and for me that's a pretty tall order. Like someone else said, I'm sure as hell glad we didn't draw Billick, and oh yeah, Collinsworth may very well be a nice person and a good father or whatever, but he's a condescending sucker calling a game. |
