Wasn't that a blimp! I stopped by Applebees after church to find NASCAR...a rained out NASCAR on Fox. I couldn't believe it. Highlights still showed me a BUNCH of missed tackles. Makes me wonder how many tackles got missed outside of the highlight reel.

What bothered me the most is that Pierre, obviously the better of our two backs, still isn't getting the lion's share of the carries. IMO, Ingram should have to prove he is the best RB of the team and he hasn't done that, but it appears he is already crowned.

Of course it didn't matter this week, but a week will come where it will.

If you look at my post when we were predicting this weeks score I hit on this, I thought his production would increase in this game. Pierre is looking good and his numbers are good for the amount of production allowed. Maybe it is trying to keep folks from tiring and becoming more likely to be injured. I think Pierre will see the bulk of carries in a game where we really need him. He is also a little more versatile from the standpoint of receiving. But I also think Payton will go back to "sharing" the load. Ingram is going to be a really good back too as soon as he gets his groove.

I wanted the score run up to run up the misery index of the Bears organization and their chump fans. This was an NFC game. Not a divisional, but a Conference game all the same. Points Fielded - Points Allowed. Individual and team stat's. Mojo. Bragging rights. Bloodlust. Revenge. There are thousands of reasons to keep playing.

The Bears would have steamrolled us if we had allowed it.

We've got enough weapons to run WIDE OPEN for 60 minutes and as long as Drew isn't scrambling backwards, he is in very little danger.

As far as that fake kick; I was with the linemen on this... What were we waiting for? The defense to figure out what the hell we were doing. I think the ball should have been snapped ten seconds ago! I was fuming.

Pros & COns to the argument. At this point it is moot... He did not get hurt - BUT what about next time?

I hear ya'.
But we are keeping it honest and we working Ingram into the game. I am sure it will pay dividends in the long term as we mix assignments. One side benefit could be keeping all of our 3 guys just that little bit fresher in weeks 10, 11, 12 and on.
