I'll bet their licking their chops looking at the Lynch run moreso than those two Harper plays, one of which was a fake lay dawn and act blocked trick play. The only reason they'll target Harper is because they won't target Greer, Porter or Jenkins. My guess is they attack our weakass LB's on the edge. Every team wants to target a SS matched up against a stud TE. Thats nothing new in this league. Harper holds his own for a SS. Brees would target a SS against Graham also, regardless of who that SS is. |

Best way to protect Harper as a Pass Liability is to run nickel packages and let him blitz...
I believe it was already pointed out by Mike Triplett how big a liability he is in pass coverage but that that he does well with the blitz... Who did the Bears have to cover of note?!? Let the season progress, have a body of work, and then see where things lie... Casillas showed excellent speed on his linebacker blitz... Houston definitely has better receivers than Chicago, so we'll get another good test like Week 1... |
