Saints waive Joique Bell to make room for Will Smith
this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I don't think anyone wants to cut ties with Hartley it's just that with his injury which could keep him out for 10 weeks, it just makes sense to place him on IR. He is our kicker for next 5 ...

I don't think anyone wants to cut ties with Hartley it's just that with his injury which could keep him out for 10 weeks, it just makes sense to place him on IR. He is our kicker for next 5 or so years but it just doesn't make sense to waste a roster spot when he is out for 7 more weeks.
