For week 3 in the NFL, the New Orleans Saints will take on a much more challenging offense in Matt Shaub and the Houston Texans at the Louisiana Superdome on Sunday, September 25, 2011 at 12 NOON central time. The Texans come into this contest with a perfect record but the Saints hope to change all that in front of the home crowd who should make things interesting, or at least very loud, for the normally potent offense under HC Gary Kubiak.

The two teams met in the preseason this year already, but Drew Brees says that they weren’t themselves in that game and this time it will be a lot different. It better be different than the way they played on Saturday, August 20, 2011 when the Texans flat out spanked the Saints by the final score of 14-27 which wasn’t even as close as the score makes it appear. The defense was a total non-factor in the contest and the offense wasn’t too much better. In fact, the second and third units on both sides of the ball were much more effective in moving the ball, scoring points and holding back the competition than the first units were in that game.
