I have to say I was a big fan of his and always wanted to see him do something on the field. I met him on 2 occasions and he was a great guy!
I thought it was very odd and strange that he suddenly retired... it was really weird for me, with no explanation. He really was good on special teams and made lots of plays and I paid attention to them because I was a fan of his, always knew where he was. That block was something very special. One of the top five if not top three plays I remember like it was yesterday. There was this build up to it that was amazing. I was worried we couldn't contain Vick and energy level was up being the first game back in the dome and then we stopped them on the first series and the place was nuts. Then it happened... punt seemed like any other punt then there was A very athletic small and not fast "special" special teams player coming around and then down the middle as soon as I saw him come thru the line I yelled "ITS A BLOCK" and bam it happened. Steve - You're my Hero buddy. |
