Darren Sproles

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I don't know what his top end is, but his 0-60 is amazing. He's as quick as greased pig snot....

Sproles is shiftier ... he makes the subtle cuts to get through tight spots running north/south. Bush is faster, but he's also more deliberate and obvious with his running.

Put them in pads and give 'em a football and Sproles outruns Reggie to the endzone.

Reggie seldom outran anyone, Sproles looks like he can do it regularly.

Darren Sproles.

Darren Sproles vs. Texans’ defense: While the Texans didn’t blitz as much as you would expect, Sproles still had a great day. He had six receptions for 50 yards and a 30-yard touchdown on a sweep. Again, he has been an impact player for the Saints, a rich-man’s version of Reggie Bush.

That would be a poor-man's version of Bush; isn't he costing us less than what we would have had to pay Bush to stay?

I agree I never understood how Reggie was an important part of our offense and we supposingly built our offense around Reggie (per payton). The day he was traded was the best thing we ever did as a team. Sproles is gonna be somebody!! Anytime he gets a return he's a threat at big yardage and/or a TD. He actually makes the kick returns interesting compared to years past.

OK...I'm gonna just write this off as someone exagerating for effect.

Surely you don't think that trading Bush away was more important than signing Brees...as just one example?

He's better than Reggie Bush, imho.
