this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Hulka, don't you guys have a sportsbar that pulls in all the games? We've got more than a couple here in town. Alaska...

Yeah Alaska, there are a bunch of them. I just have to find a decent one. Plus, that means leaving the wife home with the kids while I go watch the game. That would not make her happy. Since KMSS has decided to show the Turds instead of the Saints, all the bars are filled to beyond capacity. There was a three hour wait to get into Buffalo Wild Wings for the Chicago game. We are talking about getting the Direct TV deal, but I hear that there is a long wait on that too.

I was living in Florida when the Jags were born. I went to a couple games just because i hadn't seen the Saints in a few years and was really jonesing for some live football. Also, they had drafted Jimmy Smith who was from Jackson State University which is where i am from and currently live. Their fans obviously were great the first year just because of what it was. The next few years it got even better. I remember many discussions with friends about how they were going to the playoffs year after year so soon after their inception. And how it took my Saints twenty years. Told em to enjoy it while they could. My how the tide's have changed.

I have Brees, Colston and Deuce in my fantasy league heading to playoffs....who\'s laughing now?

Now, the local affiliates get to decide which games they broadcast. KMSS, here in Shreveport, has made an economic decision to show the Cowboys instead of the Saints. And it Sucks. Yep, since you're in north Texas, nothing but Cowboys for you. |

More of what the Jags' fans are saying:
"We're severely out-matched at several positions on the field against the Saints, and possibly even more out-matched in the head coach area. Sean Payton >>>>>>>Jack Del Rio." "I expect it to be so bad that in the 3rd quarter 1/2 thefans will leave the stadium in protest/disgust. Which means it will be easierfor me to use the restrooms with no lines in the 4th quarter." Canīt wait to see Useless Jackīs game planning! "JUst curious: Why do most people expect the Saints to win, but nobody think they will win by 4-7 points?" "cause there isnt a 21+ option. Hopefully we keep it respectable but i dont think so. Unless MJD puts up madden-esque numbers 175+ 2tds or more on the ground and both lines play stellar we get mauled at least 35-10. O and by the way Gabbert will be playing a very confusing and flexible defense that loves to cause turnovers in his second career start, so yeah 4-7 points is what we would hope for but isn't what we'll get" |

Another good quote ...
"I'm thinking Saints 31-10. With a Gabbert garbage time TD to Zach Miller or something. The so far, over achieving defense will probably be exposed against Brees, who I feel is a top 3 QB . The good news is I have Saints TE Jimmy Graham starting for my fantasy team. We all know what TE"s do againt the Jags." | |
