Saints face Jacksonville defense that doesn’t allow big plays

METAIRIE, La. – In the first three games of the 2011 season, the Saints have faced two teams known to harbor stout defenses.

Both times, against Green Bay and Chicago, the Saints simply put those theories to rest.

Against the Packers, the Saints rang up 34 points and 477 total yards, though then were only 1 of 5 in the red zone.

A week later, against the Bears, New Orleans put up 30 points and 382 total yards while holding onto the ball for 36 minutes, 14 seconds.

And now they’ll match wits with Jack Del Rio, who has his Jaguars defense playing as well as any in the league.
