What the Bucs are about

We’re going to find out very soon. The Bucs travel to San Francisco on Sunday to play a 49ers team that’s started better than a lot of people expected. They then get to fly back across the country for a home game with the Saints, who are every bit as good as people expected. After that, the Bucs fly out of the country to take on the Chicago Bears in a “home game’’ in London on Oct. 23.

After that, they get a bye week before facing the Saints again -- in New Orleans.

They will be lucky to split their next four games. They were lucky last night.

Lucky is right, that was an awful game on their part. The Colts are a shadow of what they use to be without Manning and their lines are beat up.

A mediocre Colts team gave em a tough fight. Blount scares me but that's about it. Freeman is still a year or so away from being truly dangerous.

Freeman is playing smart though. He doesn't force throws. I counted at least 5 times he just dumped off a pass over the middle because the Colts were playing 15 yards off of the line with their LB. Something Vilma will have to watch for when we play.

The Bucs aren't flashy. But, don't confuse that with untalented or not good. Freeman has it. Blount is a monster. The defense comes after you, flies around, and hits people. And they're going to get better as they get more experience.
