I like Ivory, but if the Saints were to get someone like Patrick Willis or DeMarcus Ware for him... I'd say yes in a heart beat, but that's never going to happen, because he is still very unproven and has the health concerns Danno alluded to already.

No offense to Mr. Shanle, but if we could trade Ivory for a replacement, I'd kick in an nickle.
|
No way I would let him go!

If we bring Ivory along slowly he can get some valuable reps later in the season, give the other backs time to rest or rehab, and it brings up his value. I truly believe that we will trade one back next year, we could even package that with a receiver if necessary. Remember we don't have a first round draft pick. If our backs continue to roll we may have some great trading leverage.

It would have to bwe one hell of an LB - Seriously. And there is no way anyone will give up a LB that good.

With Ivory missing so much time we actually wouldn't see any respectable return for him. And I agree with the sentiment that we are lucky to have the depth. We all know what injuries can do with our backfield.

With Brees yet to sign, we might have to cut Tom Benson to fit Brees under the cap. |
Keep him.

I'm not sure if I would trade defensive depth for Chris Ivory. Then again, Ivory is a beast when healthy. But he was injured so much last year, I fear he cannot stay on the field. I'm not sure. I just hope the Saints can average over 35 points per game this season.
