If I'm ahead by 30 the officiating won't matter! LOL

Agreed. Very frustrating today.

I don't like that we're becoming a cheap-shot and taunting team. That can only mean that we have insecurities.

The Smith thing was ridiculous, and why wasn't the PF on the field goal stiil enforced? It was a dead ball foul during a dead ball situation.
So, if there's a whistle for a false start and then someone drills the quarterback it is not a PF?

Terrible, all the way around. At times it felt like they were trying to help the Panties keep it close... oh well. Good teams can overcome the fix and that's what we did.

I was damn sure the ball was in his hand when they hit him.

The problem on the play is that we hit him high by one player and another player cam in low. That is a roughing the passer penalty.

The same thing was called on us against the Vikes in the NFC championship game if I recall. They didn't do a good job explaining the call vs the Panters.

There's no way for men that size (or any size) to stop. It isn't possible. The only way to avoid something like that is to just not try to go after him. It's a joke.

Like I said earlier.... I have hated Steve Smith since he first came into the league... He's a punk, and an instigator... Glad he got nailed... Just wish Jenkins would have put up a better fight!

The penalty had nothing to do with a late hit on the QB. In fact it was a hit happening at the time of release.

This is where the rule gets crazy. 2 players can't hit the QB, one high and one low. Now how are you suppose to communicate and know what the other player is going to make his hit???

It's one of those penalties that you have to accept when it happens.

The roughing the passer rule does not state that a passer can not be hit by two players simmultanously, only that a person cannot lunge at or below a passers knees while on the ground. The call was on Turk McBride who hit Cam in the chest, thus the ruling on the field is wrong. The other hit was actually at his thigh which is a clean play.

I have to disagree, the high low in the Championship game was illegal, but it is what gave way to the birth of dumass calls like this first roughing the passer call on Saints D. When they showed the shot back you can see all the Saints Defenders around cam are actually tackling not spearing another thing to look out for is the helmet. And that was under the shoulder pads of cam. That first drive for Carolina shouldn't have happened

Yeah, there were a lot of bad calls all around in that game, but the Rogers roughing the passer was a good call at least.

What made me more angry was the Sproles run where it was ruled a fumble on the field when everyone should've clearly seen that he was down before the ball came out. While the call was reversed, it should've never been ruled a fumble with a ref 4 feet away from the play. Just ridiculous... if that would've happened with a team out of challenges and the clock not down inside the 2 minutes, it could've been disastrous.

Boy, that is a more profound statement on the "State of the Franchise" than people realize...

All those losses to Atlanta, San Fran, Minnesota over the years because a single play botched by refs...
