Yeah, the years that Brooks led UVA to national championships really established his dominance over the Mannings.

And that 55-21 pasting that the Colts put on the Saints in the Dome this season really highlighted that Brooks is the superior QB in a head to head matchup.

The point really doesn\'t have anything to do with Brooks. The point has everything to do with the fact that Peyton is a Choke artist and there isn\'t much that can be said against that argument...which is probably why Brooks\' name ever entered this thread to begin with.

It takes a doctorate in mathematics to understand the NFL\'s quarterback rating system, but even the remedial adders and subtracters among us can figure out that going from 158.3 in one game to 35.5 two weeks later is not a good thing.

Peyton Manning was miserable Sunday miserable during the AFC Championship Game, miserable afterward and probably miserable when the sun went up. It started snowing in the morning, after all. This is a guy who works in a dome, and that dome is not an igloo.

There are bad games, and there are bad games at bad times, and now Manning truly knows the difference. His Colts fell 24-14 to the Patriots, and there will be nothing anyone can say to convince Manning that it wasn\'t all his fault. He threw four interceptions. He underthrew his receivers. He overthrew his receivers. He did get in a rhythm with Ty Law, who caught three passes, the only problem being that Law is a Pats cornerback.

But it was more than that. Manning went from being almost perfect to almost unrecognizable, from beauty to beast, from spectacular to spectacularly bad. In the Colts\' two playoff victories, he had completed 44-of-56 passes for 681 yards. He had that perfect 158.3 quarterback rating against the Broncos two weeks ago
Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is not nearly as gifted as Manning is, but he has this habit of winning games. He was the most valuable player when the Pats won the Super Bowl two years ago. New England has 14 straight victories heading to Houston.

Manning can toss some of his regular-season touchdown passes on the fire to keep him warm this winter. On Sunday, he couldn\'t have felt any colder.

\"What are stats when you are sitting at home?\" Law said.

So there was Law, adding insult to interceptions. But as Manning pointed out, great players want to be in big games, even if there\'s a chance for embarrassment. He preferred to have lost than to have not fought at all, and there\'s something very noble in that.

Noble didn\'t feel very good Sunday.

\"It\'s not a fair game,\" he said. \"Never has been.\"

PS - I\'ll probably get yelled at for this, but I just can\'t resist. Billy, I think that is my fifth straight \"owned\" picture against you. One might say that I\'m a better poster b/c I\'ve \"won\" more of these \"discussions\", but you don\'t believe in stats or wins and losses so I\'m sure it won\'t phase you. LMAO! Just kidding Bill, just kidding.

Billy still has a good agument here that no one has really addressed. Peyton has monster numbers, a solid running back, good recievers, and a serviceable defense and he keeps blowing it. I don\'t think the coaches or the play calling is an issue either, since Peyton audibles at the line on almost EVERY play. Some wanna give all the credit to the Patriots defense in the AFC championship game, but we ALL saw Peyton make some REALLY stupid throws in that game.
Wow, sounds like AB to me. And to think, Billy thinks Peyton is a looser, but Brooks, well that\'s a different story. LMAO. Put the gun down guys, you won\'t have any toes left soon.

Is that D.A.M.N.\'s best defense? D.efend A. M.anning N.ow tatics are to divert attention from Peyon Manning and talk about Brooks. DAMN!!

It\'s like asking a politician a question: \"Mr. Senator, did you vote on that bill to raise taxes?\" -- Mr. Senetor\'s answer -- \" Well, I\'ll have you to know that I have an outstanding voting record on fighting crime.\"

Never a straght answer.......... Yeah, I feel so \"owned\". I feel an owned picture in my future very soon....... :P
