Alexander replaces McAllister in Pro Bowl

KIRKLAND, Wash. (Jan. 27, 2004) -- Seattle Seahawks running back Shaun Alexander was added to the NFC's Pro Bowl roster, an injury replacement for Deuce McAllister of the New Orleans Saints.

It will be the first Pro Bowl trip for Alexander, who will join four Seahawks teammates in Hawaii.

Tackle Walter Jones and special teams player Alex Bannister were named to the squad, and quarterback Matt Hasselbeck and guard Steve Hutchinson were injury replacements.

Alexander finished with 16 touchdowns and a career-high 1,435 yards rushing in his fourth season. He had seven 100-yard games, another career high.
