I knew he had the title of OC, but i think his role is more of a consultant and Sean Payton is the guy pulling the strings

Anyway, he's the one you can see going over the polaroids with Brees every Sunday, so maybe his focus is on the QBs... but that would bring up a question about Joe Lombardi's contribution on the staff?

I knew who he was. But I also know Payton calls the plays. The OC does more than just calls plays. The 1st 10-15 plays of each half are basically scripted. I'm sure he has a hand in those. He probably has more responsibility in preparation of the offense during the week for Sundays than anything. Drawing up plays etc. I honestly think he makes Payton look better......

Sort of like being the Captain of a Flagship when the Admiral of the Fleet is aboard?!?
