The turn of events Sunday had me coming away wondering if Payton's play-calling was that spectacular or was it just a case of the team being in shock after seeing their head guy go down and also not seeing him in his usual spot on the sideline.

Brees is a great QB...and the only reason he can be compared to Favre is because he throws a lot, and with that, things will happen. Brees has Favre on accuracy and smarts, but Favre was more mobile and where Brees could throw a football and hit a knot-hole in a tree...Favre would throw the football through the tree.

I wanted to share this with you guys. After the pick in the endzone last week, my wife says to me that they shoulda run it. I'm like, "Well, it was 4th down and they needed 2 yards."

She says, "Yeah, but right at that time they were pretty close to the goal line, and if they miss with a run, TB has to start pretty deep in their territory and we still had some time on the clock and some TO's."

I was impressed...and I think she was probably right.

Mangina is just that. Who cares about his opinion anyhow. I"m surprised they let him stay on in Cleveland as long as they did.

Well the whole debate is really can the cowgirls win a SB with Romo.

With that context, you can't bring Bree's even to the conversation because... Bree's has a ring!

Incomplete pass and the clock stops...and they get it at the two.
Unsuccessful run and the clock keeps running on reset of the chains
and the delayed clearing of the pile of dejected Saints players.
Brees' hands are the best hands in situations like that. I just wish they had spread the field.
A big part of Brees' success is his desire to make a play. I'll take it anytime.
And I'm also willing to take my licks when that desire doesn't work out in our favor.
That comes with the territory.
Everybody dragging on Romo, but that's what I like about him.

Romo is not even close to being anywhere at anytime in the same UNIVERSE as Brees is! Give me a break! Comparing Brees to Homo is like comparing a "Mercedes" to a Chevrolet. (No offense to Chevrolet drivers, but not even in the same league)!

If he wasn't running for his life because his pocket was collapsing, he may have seen Meechum jumping up and down all by himself. We win.

I won't be comparing Drew to anyone but Drew until we get another Superbowl win. With that, he'll be in GREAT company.

There are a lot of one-time Super Bowl Champion QB's, but the number quickly thins with a second win.

Romo is not in the company of Drew Brees; no.
Drew Brees is not in the company of Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, or any number of Steelers or Cowboys QB's, either. Not just yet, anyway, but our day is coming.

Alaska

HERE WE COME, TA GE' CHU!!!!
