That's the idea behind a screen. Let your guy come through the line and over pursue and dump the ball off over his head and let the RB do his thing while you take on the second level. But this is also a timing play because if you get to far ahead of the play you get flagged for illegal man downfield. He just needs to work a little bit better on his release timing. I think he is playing much better than what Jamhead Brown was playing, less penalties for sure.

I don't know if immediate Probowlers are expected, but first and second round picks should be giving quality starts before a late round pick.

Divine Intervention, Karma, Statistical Correction, but the Diamonds the Saints have had in the late rounds have offset the underwhelming first round picks...

(Jenkins, Robinson, Jordan, Ingram not withstanding, allowing for three total years)

Jermon Bushrod!!

I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but I think Bushrod's play at LT has improved markedly from the past two seasons, especially in pass protection. He still gets an occasional chip on outside pass rushers, but I am impressed with his ability to hold his own on many plays.

Anyone else agree or disagree with me on this?

All I know he is better this year than last year and as long as he does his job that is all I care about, so far so good.

He came a long way I wanted to replace him at the beginning of the year but he's handling his business.

This one says more: "This season he hasn’t had a penalty called on him, despite going against some of the NFL’s to pass-rushing defensive ends in the Colts’ Dwight Freeney and Chicago’s Julius Peppers."

He has come a long way.

He certainly has, and I think the plan all a long was a 3 year development plan.

I think that same 3 year plan is in effect for Charles Brown and Matt Tennant too.
