Second half of season predictions
Drew Brees will best Dan Marino's single-season passing-yardage mark: We've been hearing all about how many passers were once on pace to break the record. Well, one is going to do it. Brees is already past the 3,000-yard plateau, Sean Payton isn't going to stop throwing the ball, and with the defense giving up plenty of yards and points, the need to keep chucking it around will be legit.
You can't convince me Payton wouldn't want to be a part of something like this, and with his leg healing up, the Saints should be back to the norm soon enough. Brees is completing 71 percent of his passes -- so it's in play -- and he won't let the increase in interceptions change his approach. He is averaging 334 yards through nine games; Marino averaged 318 yards per game en route to his 5,084-yard mark. I don't see the Patriots and Tom Brady keeping pace while Aaron Rodgers is gonna cruise to a No 1 seed in the NFC and likely get a little time off. The Saints will be jockeying for playoff position until the end. NFL.com news: Second-half predictions: Brees makes history; playoff picture |

Not only is Marino's yardage record in jeopardy...
... but so is Drew's season long completion percentage of 70.9%.
Currently Drew is completing 71.0% of his passes. Aaron Rodgers is completing 72.5% of his passes... |

Graham breaks the receiving record for a TE in a season by Kellen Winslow of the San Diego Chargers 1,290. He needs 500 yd to break it, 72 yards avg a game the rest of the way. I hope he does but not because the run game is suffering.

Watching PTI...and Wilbon just said Chicago or Detroit are the only 2 teams that can beat G.B.on Lambeau field in Jan..
I don't think that's crazy..but San Fran and the Giants might take out those two anyway..i would be happy with the 2 seed...and go to G.B...i think we could beat them..if our running game works and we keep Drew clean...that D is overrated. We just need to keep our balance and one game at a time ..control what we have in front of us.. |

I just want to make the play-offs and for the Failcons not too... I don't care where we are seeded or who we face as long as this happens...

The G-Men have a tough stretch coming up including us.. So do the Lions.... We just need to take care of the our division right now.....and thats what we will do this Sunday.. |

I'm hoping we get the 3 seed (looks like SF has #2 locked up with a patsy schedule), and then 4 or 5 seed take out Green Bay in the 2nd round. We have to beat the 6 seed in the Dome, (probably Chicago or Atlanta) then win at San Fran, then back to the dome to host the NFCCG against the Lions fresh off their upset of Green Bay!!! Love it!!! |
