I'm not really interested having our interior line being vastly undersized. I'm fine with the occasional rotation of bringing Jordan inside... we do it all the time. Definitely not on a full time basis though. Teams would eat us up in the middle. Ellis would also lose his effectiveness playing alongside another small lineman.

Maybe the double teams are why they are ALWAYS at bottom of the list in tackles.
That would mean the linebackers are free to make plays...not the case either. Something has got to happen with our front 7, something with the 4-some, and something with the next 3. Jordan is not going to bull rush anybody in the NFL, at least not yet. He's cutting teeth and I think will come into his own with more time - very little time I hope. I'd leave him outside where he is because of his size and quickness and wait on his leverage to come. This past week, 1-Z's across the front (AGAIN) - Jordan, Rogers, Franklin, Johnson, Ellis, Smith... It would be different if teams only ran the ball 10 times a game, like we do sometimes, but even in 30 rush attempt games, these guys are missing in action. Smith has had his day (2 or 3), Jordan has had a good day ( or 2), but the rest... Jordan will continue to develope and improve and the rest need to do the same. Turner is no joke, and will get 20+ opps on Sunday. This would be a good week to show some up front prowess. Be a MAN! and not a mowiss. |

Cam is doing fine on the outside. Bring him in on some plays but not fulltime.

May have saw a bit more of what Franklin and Rogers can bring from last week. They may now be starting to see they need to play harder to be effective and to keep a future job. Hopefully they have started to have a closer relationship to the team and give the effort to let their teammates know they have their backs and do their part not to expose our linbackers. Jordan is learning now( leave him where he is) but where is the speed or power ? In His defense though even Mario Williams did not do that well in his rookie season. I have not seen enough to warrant a first round pick yet time will tell.
