this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; What does everyone think about trying to pick up Stacy Mack when he hits the free agent market? He was always a good goal line/short yardage back in Jacksonville. He might be a good backup to Deuce in a pinch ...

He was always a good goal line/short yardage back in Jacksonville. He might be a good backup to Deuce in a pinch and not cost us too much to get him. |

I thought Carter played well in relief of Deuce this season and picking up Banks gives us young potential, assuming he\'s recovered from that knee injury. I will say that we could definitely use a short yardage back though. I don\'t think I have to mention how pathetic the Saints were on short yardage downs this year.

I\'ve personally always been a fan of Ron Dayne, but I don\'t know what that would cost us. We need someone for short yardage (possibly a real full back), but otherwise, I was happy with Carter and Banks.
