Tulane Football was lost when Elitist Jerks who couldn't make it in Ivy League schools got tenure there and treated athletics as the great evil...
Fallout included the Wave now plays games in the Dome - Love the Dome, but not for week to week college football games... Wish Tulane could get serious and bring back its programs - the LSU-Tulane rivalry was a great one for the region,,, |

Tulane had that one great season with Tommy Bowden at the helm, a few years ago. Since then, it's been pretty downhill...

Seriously, they have the money and alumni support to make a strong football program. New Orleans is pretty much 100% LSU country because Tulane football stopped existing years ago.
It's so bad that they did go undefeated in 1998 and it was hardly noticed. People in New Orleans would support a college football team. Heck, on Saturday mornings you'll see are caravans of people driving to Baton Rouge to tailgate. |

As an LSU fan I miss the Tulane LSU game.
My favorite picture from those days is Mike taking a crap in the water stream with the water tented green. The title of the picture was "The Green Wave". Love it....sorry Tulane fans.. no offense. |
